Let's Meet Around the Table and Have a Ball

The Famous Meatballers Donate Contest Winnings to a Fallen FDNY Firefighter

The Famous Meatballers homemade meatball recipe in marinara sauce continues to win awards at cooking contests. What’s even better is the award helped a fallen firefighter.

The Famous Meatballers Donate Money After Contest

Dream Ride (https://www.dreamride.org) sponsored a chili contest, and The Famous Meatballers and FDNY Engine 262 entered the contest. Not only did we take first prize, we won a $5000.00 prize! That grand prize was donated to fallen FDNY firefighter Michael Davidson. Michael lost his life in the line of duty while fighting a fire. Our condolences go out to his family. Our trophy from the chili contest will be held at the Firehouse of Engine 262 until we go back next year to defend it! More information about Dream Ride’s organization and their activities can be found on their website and Facebook.

The Famous Meatballers

The Famous Meatballers were also featured in a local newspaper article. The Bellmore Herald Life published an article on August 2, 2018 describing firefighter Joe Chiodi and his mother-in-law’s old meatball recipe used to develop The Famous Meatballers. Our meatballs in marinara sauce are sold in local New York area supermarkets including North Shore Farms, King Kullen, and Salpino’s to name a few.
